Customized Mom Keychains

I wanted to share my latest custom keychain order I just finished for a customer's mom and her mother-in-law from her as a gift. They are a two sons, one daughter and one son, two daughter versions of my handmade birdnest keychain designs; with red and blue Swarovski pearls. They are ready to be shipped tomorrow in two handmade felt bags. I really loved how the egg colors and butterfly, dragonfly charms worked together. What do you think?

Handmade Glass Charm Tutorial

Many people have parties and festivities to celebrate the 4th of July. Are you having people over or going to a party for the independence day holiday?

My husband and I am inviting a big group of people on the July 1st, just before the holidays. We are doing something non-USA-traditional though. To make this bbq party memorable for our guests, we thought of a unique theme: Turkey. That includes Turkish food and Turkish decorations. The party colors will be red and white, which is the Turkish flag colors. Lately, I have been working on different party favors. (Stay tuned...this week!)
Here is my first project; glass charms with famous evil eyes. You can make your own glass charms with this simple tutorial.

Materials: artistic wire (I used 20 gauge), variety of beads, wire cutter, round nose pliers, a round shaped object - I used a nail polish cap

Step 1: Curve your wire in between 1- 2 inches in diameter. I used one of my favorite nail polish caps to create even circles. Then, slide the wrapped wire from the circular object you used.

Step 2: Cut the circles by keeping around 1/8" overlap in both ends to leave space to curve the ends.

Step 3: Using your round nose pliers, curve one end of your circle peace inwards so that the ends are not sharp.

Step 4: Slide the bead from the other end through the wire.

Step 5: Repeat the step #3 for the other end of the wire. Make sure there is no sharp edges on the charm.

Step 6: Place the glass charm to a glass and squeeze the ends slightly with your hand. That way the charms will not fall.

Step 7: Repeat the steps with the number of glass charms you wish to make.

Step 8: Now, enjoy your cup of drink from your charmed glasses with extra protection with the evil eyes.

Bright Ideas

Summer time is the best time to use some bright colors that is kind of hard to do in the winter. That goes same with the nail polish. I am a big fan of matching nail polish with a necklace or a pair of earrings. This handmade turquoise pendant necklace is a one of a kind necklace I made after my discovery of this turquoise nail polish by Essie in a drug store. This silver necklace is very feminine and at the same time very simple. You can find this necklace at my Etsy shop.

What do you match your nail polish with? Clothes, jewelry. shoes, ... ???

Quick and Easy Closet Transformation

Happy Monday to all! I hope you had a great weekend. Today, I wanted to share my two-step closet wardrobe transforamation project using wall decoration stickers and door knobs.

For my closet in my home studio or in other words" A Cup of Sparkle Laboratory", I used this giant removable poppy flower stickers and matching red/white knobs, both  from IKEA. I had also painted my studio walls to white and red which fits very well together.
I feel like it is always spring time in my room with this blooms on my closet. So far, everyone who came to my studio had very postitive comments on my closet.  If your closet looks too bare and you feel like your room might need some change, vinyl art decorations are a quick and easy way to improve your style.
How do you like them? Have you ever tried a wall decal before?

Black Onyx Necklace Jewelry

Black onyx jewelry is a bold and sleek way to accessorize your outfits in any season. Black jewelry is always fashionable. This onyx black necklace features a simple; yet, sophisticated design with jet black onyx beads, finished with sterling silver oxidized chain.

Black Onyx Necklace
Onyx beads are believed to release negative emotions like unhappiness, and sorrow. It has protective energies.
Who wouldn't want that? :)

I got the inspiration for this necklace from the Mayan Ruins in Mexico. The untouched beauty and history of the stones in Chicken-Itza was fascinating. This uncut, oriental beads are very different then the other gemstone beaded jewelry you will see, as it is not polished, dyed or carved.
To see more pictures and read the details, you can check this necklace from my Etsy shop.
